I worked on another huge project that is quilt related but involves computer work. I realized last week that I had a total of 230+ labels on my blog. Labels are the quick links visitors can use to search particular topics. That was a long list. So, I've been editing posts and trying like mad to reduce the number of labels on my blog. In order to delete labels, I must remove them from the posts. This task will take me a while to complete. I'm motivated to compact them and now have 112 labels. I don't know what is a good number of labels to have, but I know 230 isn't.
Last week I made drunkard's path block #8.
SECTION UPDATED 1/12/2011
I have this week's blocks done too.
Then I had to make a decision on a project for the Scrap Quilting Club this month. This is my cutting made from a jelly roll. The project doesn't have any borders but I plan to add two to mine to make it twin size. This will be a family member's quilt, probably my mother. She decided to go to a twin bed and I think she needs a Christmas quilt this year.

Very nice block, those curves scare me to try.
ReplyDeleteLove you curves....I have the die for my Go~ but haven't used it yet.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing some Valentines projects :)
ReplyDeleteLove that stripe fabric you're working with.
ReplyDeleteYour Drunkard's path is so happy and bright. Love it. You are further along than I; I have not put away my decorations yet :(
ReplyDeleteI like the block.
ReplyDeleteI understand the label issue - I dealt with the same thing and have been working hard not to add a new one. My advice is to make the labels so that you can locate the posts you need to refer to...I'm always putting links to pages I want to find later, so that's important to me. Good luck with the process.

Oh, the labels thing! I need to go back and put labels on my earliest posts. It is a big job you're doing with cleaning up--I agree, 230 is a big number of labels to deal with!
ReplyDeleteLots of pretty fabric finding its way into quilts at your house...
Quiltmaker is writing about you! That is so cool! You'll be famous! LOL. I didn't even know about labels when I started blogging a year ago. It was more than halfway through the year, before I caught on to it, and then went through all my posts adding labels. Never occurred to me to count how many there are though. I have one called "stuff" that has everything in it that doesn't really fit into any category. I love your blocks, each and every one of them.
ReplyDeleteLook forward to checking back about the Quiltmaker post! Exciting!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks always look so nice.
ReplyDeleteI love your Drunkards Path block. Any day now I'll work up the courage to try that one out. Congratulations on getting posted in Quitly Pleasures. How exciting!
